Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA), member of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), announced the commencement of the new season 2025-26 with youth premier league scheduled to start in July 2025 promising to feature more teams/academies/clubs.
The Youth Premier League (YPL) is a platform for academies/clubs to participate in competitive football throughout the year, fostering development from the grassroots level.
- It encompasses various age categories, ranging from U-7 to U-21.
- Registration for academies participating in the 2025/26 season closed on July 10th.
- Only tournaments authorized by the KSFA are permitted to run from July 2025 to March 2026, with the exception of Blue Cubs tournaments for ages 12 and under.
- Academies found participating in unauthorized leagues will not be eligible to participate in the YPL or any other KSFA leagues.
- The KSFA has a strict policy against age fraud and cheating in the YPL to maintain the integrity of the league.
- The U-21 category of the 2024-25 season recently concluded with Kickstart FC winning against Alchemy IFA in a thrilling final.
- Whereas Alchemy FA were crowned champions for U11, U15, and U17 age groups.
